Medihoney Calcium Alginate Dressing contains 95% active, manuka (leptospermum) honey. It provides a moist, occlusive environment conducive to optimal wound healing. As wound exudates are absorbed, alginate forms a gel, making dressing easy to remove. Medihoney Calcium Alginate Dressing is easy to use and apply. Leptospermum honey has unique characteristics that make the dressing ideal for use on chronic or acute wounds. Due to its versatility and lack of toxicity, this dressing can be used in all stages of wound healing. Can also be used as an important component of wound bed preparation.
